Terms & Conditions

A disclaimer

1. Orders & Payment

A $50 deposit is required upon booking. Please note this deposit is non-refundable but transferable to another date if notified 7 days or more in advance.

Your booking will not be secured until the deposit is received. The remaining balance must be paid two days prior to the event for all grazing tables and trays.

2. Cancellations & Refunds
In the unfortunate event that you need to cancel your booking, all cancellations must be made at least 7 days in advance. If you fail to provide 7 days' notice, you will be charged the full amount, and no refunds or transfers can be made.

3. Dietary Requirements & Allergies
If you or any of your guests have dietary requirements or allergies, please state these in the booking form so we can cater to all needs where possible. Please note this may incur an additional charge and may not always be possible.

4. Delivery & Pickup
We travel and deliver within the Timaru boundary free of charge. Any events that require travel outside of the area will incur a charge of $1 per km, inclusive of GST.

5. Food Safety

We recommend that all food should be consumed within 2 – 3 hours of set up or delivery. After that, we will not be accountable for the freshness of the food. It is the client’s responsibility to dispose of any leftover food after this period. All of our fresh produce will be monitored and transported at controlled temperatures. 

All of our produce is subject to availability and the season's offerings.

6. Grazing Table Service
We set up and create the grazing table at your location prior to your guests arriving. We do not provide the table that we set up on; this will need to be provided for us. We require a cool and shaded area. Serviettes and plates must also be provided by the client.

Please allow 1-3 hours for set up, depending on the size and requirements of your grazing table. We are not responsible for the removal and disposal of food waste.

7. Grazing Tray Service

Grazing trays are prepared in our registered kitchen to the highest quality standard with impeccable food safety practices. We make our grazing trays fresh on the day of your event. 
 

Once completed, we deliver the platter to your location, or you can pick it up. 

Trays must be returned or collected by us within two days.

8. Graze and Sip

We set up our demonstration at your location. Please allow at least one hour before the event for us to complete our set-up. We will discuss the size of the venue and table space before the event. You will need to provide a table (and seating if needed) big enough for the number of guests to sit or stand around. We will provide all the equipment and products for the event, and we will clean up and take the equipment with us when we are finished. The demonstration will take approximately 1.5 - 2 hours, but this is an estimate, depending on group size.

9. Property & Equipment
We supply an inventory sheet upon completion of our grazing table service. Any lost or damaged equipment or props will incur a charge. All equipment and props must be collected by us or returned to the client within two days.

10. Photography & Promotion
We reserve the right to photograph our work for use in promotional materials and on social media. If you do not wish your order or event to be photographed, please let us know at the time of booking.

11. Liability
The Grazing Table is not liable for any loss, damage, or injury resulting from the consumption of our products, improper storage, or handling after delivery or pickup. We will demonstrate safe practice of all equipment and take no responsibility for any injury or harm caused during your event.

12. Public Holidays

A surcharge may apply to bookings made on public holidays.​​

13. Booking Confirmation
Bookings are only confirmed once the deposit has been received and we have responded to confirm availability. Submission of the booking form alone does not guarantee your spot.

14. Payment Methods

We currently accept payment via bank transfer only. Please use your full name as the reference when making a payment.

15. Equipment Hire

All hired equipment must be returned in clean, undamaged condition within two days of your event. Charges will apply for lost, damaged, or unreturned items. Availability is limited and will be confirmed at the time of booking.

16. Force Majeure / Unexpected Events
In the event of circumstances beyond our control (such as illness, natural disaster, or government restrictions), The Grazing Table reserves the right to reschedule, alter, or cancel services. We will make every reasonable effort to communicate changes and accommodate new arrangements as needed.
